Saturday Children’s Theatre continues its wonderful opportunity for children to enjoy the excitement of live theatre by performing the timeless classic of Beauty and the Beast. We just can’t get enough of this tale as old as time, and now it’s available for young actors to enjoy. In this version a poor widow has plucked a forbidden rose from the Beast’s garden, and he allows her to go free in exchange for Beauty staying with him. From ere, you know the story, and this one is delightfully played, complete with talking furniture. The story is familiar, but the lessons about the power of love and beauty that is more than skin deep never gets old. All must be present for dress rehearsal and performance dates. Weekly rehearsals conclude with a ticketed matinee show on Saturday, March 24th at 11:30 am. Tickets are $5 at the door, children 10 and under are free.
