Open Studio Time at the Center

Open Studio time allows CCArts Members to gather in a shared creative space, working side by side on individual projects.

This extra time aims to provide flexibility to work on pieces outside of class time, have access to creative space outside of ones’ home, and to connect with other artists who enjoy similar mediums.

Currently, we offer both Pottery and Visual Arts open studio time to our eligible CCArts Members. You can learn more about each opportunity below, find the requirements to participate, and the respective studio time calendars for the current month!

Pottery Open Studio

Once you have met all eligibility requirements to attend, you will begin to be included on all necessary email messaging regarding Open Studio availability and updates. You can utilize the calendar below (which is also sent every month via email, with physical copies available in the Main Office) to determine when you can attend studio time. Before attending, be sure you have reviewed all necessary Pottery Studio guidelines.

Once you arrive to the Center for studio time, simply sign in at the Main Office, and confirm that your name listed on the eligible student list, and then you are good to go. Please note that during Open Studio time, no instructor is present for assistance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Hold an Active CCArts Membership

  • Be enrolled in a ceramics focused class within the current semester.

  • Have completed at least one semester of Ceramics classes previously at the Center, and/or receive written approval from your instructor to participate.

 
 

Visual Arts Open Studio

Once you have met all eligibility requirements to attend, you will be included on all necessary email messaging regarding Open Studio policies. You can utilize the calendar below (which is also sent every month via email, & physical copies are available in the Main Office) to determine when you can attend studio time. Before attending, also be sure you have reviewed all studio usage guidelines and signed the necessary agreement.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Hold an Active CCArts Membership

  • Enrolled in at least one CCArts class or workshop during the duration of the semester.

  • Completed all necessary training materials, and signed agreement forms accordingly.

Once you arrive to the Center for studio time, simply sign in at the Main Office, and confirm that your name listed on the eligible student list, and then you are good to go. Visual Arts studio time will run on a first come first serve basis, and is limited to 15 participants maximum.

Please note that during Open Studio time, no instructor is present for assistance, and that you are expected to bring your own projects and materials. Within the studio, you will have access to usage of CCArts tables and chairs, table easels, smocks, drawing horses, and sinks.
