Camp Arts for All in Sign 2025

July 28th through August 1st

Delaware’s ONLY visual & performing arts camp for Deaf children and children with hearing loss in 2025.

Camp Arts for All in Sign was created in efforts to provide children with an accepting and empowering space where they can learn new artistic skills, ways of expressing themselves, and build confidence and self-awareness.

Campers will be able to connect with other children who are Deaf or have hearing loss like them, and will most importantly have fun! They will have the opportunity to create works of visual arts that will center their perspectives and experiences in a safe and accessible environment, exploring artistic techniques and mediums such as mixed media, painting, ceramics, and more!

  • This camp is exclusively for Deaf children and children with hearing loss between the ages of 8 - 11.

  • It is a week-long full-day camp and will be primarily taught in sign language with support from interpreters for those utilizing spoken English.

    • This year’s camp will be taught by talented teaching artist Tammy Waddell. Tammy holds a Master’s degree in Deaf Education. As a Deaf professional, Tammy brings cultural insight and lived experience to her teaching. Tammy is “deeply committed to nurturing Deaf youth and creating spaces where they can thrive artistically and personally”.

  • Camp will take place in an art studio on the CCArts Yorklyn campus, located at: 410 Upper Snuff Mill Row, Yorklyn, DE 19736.

  • The daily schedule for Camp Arts for All in Sign will go as follows:

    • Morning Art Session: 9AM - 11:30AM

    • Lunch/Recess Period: 11:30AM - 12:30PM

    • Afternoon Art Session: 12:30PM - 3:00PM

Thanks to the generosity of CCArts’ partnerships with Delaware Division of the Arts, Chichester duPont Foundation, and Delaware Deaf Senior Citizens, camp tuition will be largely subsided.
