Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist

History Comes Alive with Classic Theatre

Presenting Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist

History comes alive with the Dickens classic Oliver Twist as students create and act out their interpretation of imaginary and real characters as we explore the Victorian Age of England. Students will learn acting techniques for the stage along with the wonderful experience of performing an adaptation of one of Charles Dickens classic plays.  See all the wonderful characters come to life in this beloved story of the orphan Oliver Twist, the youthful pickpocket Artful Dodger, the leader of the pickpockets Fagin, the long suffering Nancy, the vengeful Bill Sykes, the kind Mr. Brownlow, Rose and more.  (All must be present for dress rehearsal and performance dates.) Homeschoolers will develop self-confidence, a positive interaction with others, and have fun as they work toward a fully staged performance for family and friends at the conclusion of this course.
