The Center for the Creative Arts offers several indoor and outdoor spaces to individuals, corporations and other groups for a variety of meetings and special events. Located on a scenic four acre property in Yorklyn in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, CCArts is a unique, creative place to host your gathering.

Auditorium
Our spacious auditorium is ideal for large group meetings, parties, concerts and more. We provide several options for seating and table arrangements. Space usage includes use of tables and chairs and a tidy space. Extraordinary set up, removal or subsequent cleaning may incur additional fees. Kitchen in as is condition is also available for use at an additional fee. Gatherings of groups greater than 100 will also incur extra charges. Auditorium: 40 x 55 ft. usable space, plus stage

How many guests does the Auditorium hold?
The auditorium can seat 100 in chairs, standing room is 150, seated at tables is about 80.

Auditorium Space Usage Fees:

The basic rental fee for the auditorium is:
4 hours: minimum $340 
6 hours: minimum $485 
8 hours: minimum $630 
Additional hours: $85 per hour

Studio

Approximate room size:
Studios (vary): 21x23 to 25x30 ft. usable space (450 - 750 sq. ft.)
Dance Studio: 25x30 ft, one full wall of mirrors. Specialty dance floor requires appropriate dance footwear.

How many guests do the Studios hold:
Classrooms can seat up to 50 in chairs, 35 at tables.

Studio Usage Fees:

Basic rental fee for one studio (5 studios available):
9:00am-5:00pm $50 per hour
5:00pm-10:00pm $65 per hour or any time outside of CCArts open hours.

Hours are based on total time the space is used including set up and clean up.

Additional Upgrades:

  • Large crowd of 100 or more will cost $50 additional.

  • 50” flat screen smart television on a rolling cart for movies, videos, web browsing and presentations. $50

  • Overhead projector and large drop down screen for slide shows, videos, etc. $50

Long term space usage may have reduced rates. 
6 foot tables and padded chairs are available at no additional cost.
Your caterer or event manager arranges all other details.

FAQs

Are there any additional costs for the facility besides space usage fees?
Rentals include access to the requested number of tables and chairs and a tidy space. Extraordinary set up, removal of equipment or subsequent cleaning may incur additional fees. A security deposit is required in the form of a check or credit card when the reservation is made.

Who will cater my event?
Patrons are responsible for arranging catering. CCArts has no caterer tie in. 

How many guests does a Studio hold?
Classrooms can seat up to 50 in chairs, 35 at tables.

Classrooms (vary): 21x23 to 25x30 ft. usable space (450 - 750 sq. ft.)
Dance Studio: 25x30 ft, one full wall of mirrors. Specialty dance floor requires appropriate dance footwear.

Are there restrictions on decoration or photography?
CCArts is in an historic former elementary school built in 1932. The auditorium and stage can be transformed within a matter of hours. Table settings, centerpieces and music are encouraged. The walls may be used to hang photos or other items with prior approval of Program Director. Additional decorations must be discussed and approved by CCArts. All decorations must be removed by the end of the event and picked up no later than one business day after the event.

Photography of any artwork on display is prohibited. 
Photography of guests in front of artwork is permitted.
No glitter, sand, stickers, confetti, beads or candles with open flame.

Is audio-visual equipment available?
At this time, CCArts is unable to offer audio-visual support for any rentals.

Can I hold long or short term Art Exhibition?
CCArts has an application process for solo and group art exhibitions separate from our facility rentals. We welcome organized exhibitions by outside groups providing they fit our regular schedule and requirements. Please inquire for more information. Contact JHartz@ccarts.org

What is the payment schedule for an event?
A non-refundable $100 deposit is due to save the date when the agreement is signed. The remainder is due the last business day before the event, but can be paid at any time leading up to the event.

Is there a manager available during my event?
A CCArts staff person will be available on site throughout your event. Support is given to keep bathrooms tidy and trash can liners replaced during the event. Clean up after the event is the responsibility of the occupants. Occupants are responsible for their own Event Coordinator, decorations and set up supplies.

What happens if someone damages artwork, equipment or the facility during my event?
The host of the event signs a “terms of agreement” form required for each function. If someone in the party damages anything, it is the responsibility of the space occupant.

Can I hold my birthday party at CCArts?
The Center also has a separate fee structure for children and/or adult parties. Please refer to our Birthday Parties page for more info. Or you may simply rent a room and host your own party.
