Carla s Circle – Carla Pastore, Executive Director — Carla is the Director at the Center for the Creative Arts and is passionate about the arts. She is also an artist and knows first hand how the arts can transform lives. In her earlier life, she was a horticulturist and is awed by the beauty of plants as an art form.

She feels strongly that people can change the world, even by taking baby steps and hopes to make a difference by speaking through her blog.

Writes and Paints - Lisa Lutwyche, Faculty and Advisory Board Member — Lisa has been a lover of words for as long as she can remember.

As a child, Lisa used the words in her books as a way to escape and a way to find company.  As a teenager, she learned that she had words of her own to share.  Lisa has been a published poet since she was seventeen, publishing in Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and in the United Kingdom.  She has taught creative writing and watercolor since 1992 at night, at CCArts in Yorklyn, Delaware.  She has taught special needs fine and performing arts, as adjunct faculty, at Cecil College in Maryland since 2008.

Lisa has a BFA in painting, a BA in Art History, and spent 28 years in corporate architecture and design.  A published poet and produced playwright, Lisa is working on her MFA in Creative Writing at Goddard College in Vermont.

beckyisthisgirl – Becky Eppig, Office Administrator — Becky has always had a love for art and kids. So when the Assistant Camp Director job became available 8 or so years ago, she of course jumped at the opportunity! CCArts has gladly kept her busy ever since.

Becky is getting her BA in Accounting and plans to graduate in 2012. She is pursuing her art interests by taking private lessons with Kristen Margiotta, to learn to draw! She helps keep parents, students and members updated everyday!

Becky is a blogger on her own time as well, so for CCArts she will blog about anything newsworthy! Check out her 3 blogs at chocolatierbecky, Susan G Komen 3-Day, OR CreativeInfluence . Becky always tries to help those in need and believes that Everyone Deserves a Lifetime.

M n Ms HandyMarla Handy, Assistant Camp Director — Marla Handy, a recent graduate of University of Delaware, has an huge passion for children. She is currently one of the Assistant Camp Directors of SAGO Art camp. She enjoys working with children as well as being a great influence in their lives.
At the University of Delaware, Marla majored in Theatre Productions with a minor in Fine Arts. She loves art and hopes to implement it in her future endevors.
Ccarts has given Marla the opportunity to take advantage of both interests, children and art!!!
Marla plans on going back to school to recieve her Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy and plans on persuing a career in Art therapy.

Sharona – Sharon Gabor, Program Director — Sharon began her career as an art educator and actively participated in the Art in Action program as a parent. Her background in arts administration includes time spent with the Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus, the Glen Ellyn (IL) Children’s Chorus and the Frank Lloy Wright Home and Studio. Mother of two young adults, she takes great pleasure in creating opportunities for ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Sharon blogs in an effort to share a little bit about the rationale behind some of our classes. Ideas might come from a variety of resources including research, observations, surveys, teacher proposals and student requests. Please contact her if you would like to offer a suggestion or if you and some friends would like to start a new program. She will gladly make it happen for you.
